StockTwits Round 3. NZ vs. PP + Getting an Amazon Kindle in Canada

Apparently I did something right on my 2nd skype conference with StockTwits. I have been asked to go down to NYC this upcoming Tuesday to meet in person. 12h of driving for a most likely 20 minute internview (yes I just invented a new word) I LIKE! I am assuming that it is to see how serious I am about this intern offering. Now… only if I was able to buy a Kindle in a store while I’m there! I have figured out a way how to use a Amazon Kindle in Canada!

Requirements + Steps:

1 ) Have a US shipping / billing address to have the Kindle sent to (family member or friend who lives there)

2 ) Open a US bank account / Credit Card

3 ) Order the Kindle with your US issued card

4 ) Use the US shipping address to have the Kindle sent

5 ) Have a family member or friend ship the Kindle to you

6 ) Log into the online Kindle store and purchase your content to your computer

7 ) Transfer files via USB to your Kindle

8 ) Use online banking to pay all your bills from home

9 ) Start reading and watch everyone hoover around you in amazement at this incredible device.

Stay tuned for a detailed log of the process. I am on a quest to make this work!

Let’s try this again: I love StockTwits v2.0

Lets start this again…

I am honored to have had a first opportunity to be interviewed for an internship with @StockTwits. If you have not heard of this site, it IS what Twitter should have been. The most effective, useful, and innovative micro-blogging system to touch the millions of people who are obsessed with the Internet and Stock market. Want to find out what people have to say about the stocks they are buying or selling? Simply plug the Ticker of a specific stock on their home page and voila… instant quick replies with the latest info on anything you could possibly want to know. This is a company with a HUGE future as it finally brings value to its users and people of the web. I would call it the first real time consuming site that actually helps you make money at absolutely no cost (except for your time) There are many great investors tweeting away at their latest moves and early-bird company info.

Now, I have been given a second interview tomorrow morning @ 7:30am where I will hopefully impress a very funny and energetic guy named Phil. You can reach him @ppearlman. I may have over reacted about the pay. Money is a good thing, and I DO believe you get what you pay for. It has been a dream of mine to be part of the “next big thing” on the internet ever since I first hear the dial tone on my first computer. During the years, I have been very occupied with helping to build my families franchise business and saving money for my future. I have always stayed in touch with the latest trends of the web and consistently tested out applications and services while offering advice to the developers on how to please the users even more. I am please to say that a few start-up have implemented my ideas. I love technology and I am always looking into the future of where ideas are heading. I am currently very interested and involved with the mobile industry. Always hacking my phone, trying out the latest applications, really putting everything to the test to see what can be improved on. The mobile industry will be where companies need to be in order to stay on top and be dominant in their domain. I can offer lots of advice and input on improving mobile services, implementing them, getting ideas out there, connecting people, and most importantly, creating a buzz for something special.

I am honestly looking for any spot that they can give me to help me gain experience in something I have always loved. I am dedicated to my tasks and will never settle for the best. It can ALWAYS be better. There are always new features to add, services to offer, connections to users that need to be made. My love for service and customer satisfaction is unbeatable.

Wish me luck. All I need is a chance, it’s more then I could ever ask for.

thanks to @ivanhoff for making me want to rewrite this.

I love StockTwits

Ok, so I just got off skype with a friendly man (will keep his name confidential) about an internship with StockTwits. I get a call back tomorrow @ 7am for a second round of interview. Now, I know he will be checking this post out as he asked me for a list of my online presence…

Dear, Mr. P I know there is not much you can learn from me on this site but I want to assure you that I have what it takes to be an intern. I want to learn, I want to be on the ground level, I want this more then anyone you will probably interview. I don’t need the money. I was always taught from a young age that money is not an issue when your doing something you love. The money will come after and there is no better feeling then working from nothing to what you end up making from it. I have always wanted to be part of something big on the net, it is really my dream to be part of something like this, and I hope that you give me the chance to prove myself. It would mean the world and more to me, you will be thankful of your choice, and you will see the dedication I can give to making StockTwits a better company and service.

Keep on moving forward

Well, what’s new? Another idea that does not seem to work out. I will still give this one some time. I did mean to do this with the best intentions. Anyways, this week I will hopefully start learning to program apps for the iPhone. Finally I can improve on so many of the apps that are lacking certain functions and abilities. Crossing my fingers on this. I will be hard at work during all my free time to catch up to the thousands of developers already out there with a head start.

The Million Dollar Name

I have been holding onto this domain for quite some time… Never knew what to do with it. I had an offer to sell it to someone, but I could not get myself to let it go because I felt like this domain name was meant for something better. Well, now I am about to launch my blog and at the same time, try to make a mark in Internet History.

This is who i am: My name is Anthony Zammit. I live in Montreal. I have always dreamed of doing something big in the tech world and now I have come up with a plan that will hopefully launch my career in the direction I would like WANT to be going.

Last night at 12:01 Facebook launched their custom “Vanity” URL. My original list of names that I was going to try and grab were as follows:

/00001

/No.01

At 12:01:04 these names were already taken. I then had an epiphany. I decided on a name that would hopefully get me in the direction I want to headed in. So I came up with the name…

Facebook.com/milliondollarname. Yes, that’s RIGHT. Million Dollar Name.

Will it work? I have no idea. With a bit of luck, support from people on the net, I am hoping to make a dream come true.

Here is what I plan to do….

I want to sell my account and this historic piece of internet real-estate for …. dum dum dummmmmm… you guessed it! 1,000,000$. The lucky buyer shall be the proud owner of the most famous account on Facebook. He shall also be the one who will launch my start-up with the funds that I receive from this transaction. All user information will be changed on my Facebook account to the details of your choice. I will then hand you the login/password info and you shall be the owner of my account and Internet History.

Now, this is not ALL for me! I will be donating 100,000$ into helping to build technology education for children in the 3rd world. Buying computers, providing financing for teachers to teach the children, and helping these children become the next leaders of the web.

I want to take this a step further… The first donation does not stop here. I would like to continue to donate a VERY generous percentage of the profit made from my start-up into continuing to help the education of these children. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

This pretty much sums up my goal. I know it is a long shot, but I am hoping somewhere, someone see the potential for this and helps to make a dream come true.
